Re: “Spoleto Poster Unveiled

My thoughts? Meh... It just doesn't do anything for me. I don't feel that it conveys the life and spirit of Spoleto USA. But what do I know!

Re: “The Definitive Charleston Pronunciation Guide (with audio!)

Seriously? Who wasted time recording this? The music in the background was far superior to the content. Take a pill, wait for the hangover to wear off, and try again. Better yet, don't.

Re: “Maurice Bessinger, BBQ baron and unrepentant racist, dies

I interviewed for an administrative position at Piggie Park's home office in W. Columbia many years ago. I was an out-of-work single mom and I was desperate for a job. Mr. Bessinger interviewed me briefly and I cannot begin to tell how many gender and color biased remarks he made. Truly, it's been a long time since such a narrow-minded bigot walked the face of the earth. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I was called back for a second interview but I turned them down. There was no way I could have worked for that man with a clear conscience.

I didn't much care for his food, some people say it's great. No matter how good it is, South Carolina is better off without him.

Re: “John Mayer brings the hits to N. Charleston Coliseum

And when you say "melody of hits", don't you mean medley? Is there an editor or proofreader in the house?

Re: “Watch Darius Rucker join Wando High School teen for duet at talent show

@Tony D. Howell - Seriously? How sensitive are YOU? I'm guessing you made that comment just to elicit the responses you're getting. That makes you a troll. Okay, I'll play your silly little game. Clearly, you have no clue as to the kind of fortitude it takes for a disabled person to get out there and perform. So what if he was off key and his timing wasn't the best? He was enthusiastic and above all, he was having a good time. I sincerely hope you are never blessed with a "less than perfect" offspring, because apparently you have no patience for such individuals. Go back under your bridge and keep your criticism to yourself. To Frankie and Darius, thanks for what you do, you make us proud.
