There’s no denying the deliciousness of Gullah Geechee cooking, which is why L’Atelier de Le Creuset is hosting a pop-up dinner highlighting the cuisine. Chef BJ Dennis along with High Wire Distilling Co., present an unforgettable spread that features the various flavors of Gullah food. Appetizers range from farm fresh deviled eggs with pickle relish to Stono River baked clams, topped with bread crumbs. Main courses promise everything from Florida Royal Red Shrimp stewed in an Ambrose Farm green garlic sauce to chicken purloo with Lowcountry-style chicken and rice. And your sweet tooth will be happy too since the meal wraps up with with strawberry cobbler and authentic ginger tea. High Wire will be serving a spiked punch to accompany the eats.
