October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities. And there's no shortage of events and deals around town, making it pretty damn easy for you to raise money for a good cause.

There are two chances tonight, Thurs. Oct. 4, to raise money for breast cancer awareness:

Pink Out Your Pups: Mt. Pleasant's new pet-friendly hotel, Hotel Indigo, hosts a happy hour today, Thurs. Oct. 4 from 5-7 p.m. Bring your furry friends for food and drinks and help raise money for breast cancer research, patient services, education, and more.

Tonight, Thurs. Oct. 4, head to Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre for a sip + shop fundraiser to benefit the Roper St. Francis breast cancer program. Your $25 gets you two classes of wine and bites from Burton's Grill.

When you purchase a shining star pin ($95) from Croghan's Goldbug collection, a percentage of proceeds is donated to the Roper St. Francis breast cancer program which provides outreach, detection, and care.

This Sun. Oct. 7 Bowens Island Restaurant hosts an oyster roast and silent auction from 1-4 p.m., benefiting the Tri-County Cancer Survivors (a local nonprofit that offers services to all cancer patients, survivors, and their caregivers).

Summerville's Camtech Custom Baggers hosts Scooters for Hooters on Sun. Oct. 14 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. All proceeds benefit those affected by breast cancer through soslowcountry.org.

LAVA Salon Avondale and Park Circle are raising money for someone in the Salon Industry locally battling this disease. There are several fundraising efforts in place including a gift basket raffle, a 'donate what you will' blow out lounge (held on Sat. Oct. 20), and waxing and ultimate treatments sale. Learn more online.

On Sat. Oct. 27 North Charleston's Riverfront Park is the site of the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, which raises money to save lives from breast cancer. Making Strides of Charleston hosts a number of events leading up to this walk — check them all out online.

Napa Mt. Pleasant hosts its second annual breast cancer awareness benefit on Wed. Oct. 10. Your $40 raises money for breast cancer awareness and provides access to an appetizer spread, and unlimited wine and beer.

Throughout October each of Callie's Hot Little Biscuit location features three new menu items, including the Orange Out Biscuit. Proceeds of the Orange Out biscuit will be donated to SOS Lowcountry to raise money for Breast Cancer patients.

Now through the end of the month you can purchase Panera's pink ribbon bagels with 10 percent of proceeds donated to Roper St. Francis.
