Turkey day is upon us, Charleston. Save your dough before you have to go spend it on a bunch of booze to deal with your fam. Just us? From live music to wine tasting (yes, please) to lots of local markets, there's plenty of free stuff in town this week.

Monday

Drink 'til it's funny at The Sparrow every Monday night.

Tommy Condon's hosts an open mic songwriter night at 7 p.m.

Low Tide Brewing's bingo takes place at 7 p.m.

The Schoolhouse encourages you to check out local vendors at their Holiday Shopping event from 6-9 p.m.

Tuesday

Peruse possible holiday gifts for your friends and family at the Meyer Vogl Gallery Small Works show now through Dec. 23.

Did you know that Itinerant Literate Bookstop hosts a daily story time? Head to the Park Circle bookstore every day at 10:30 a.m.

The Book Nook on King Street hosts soup and storytelling every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday

Get your free wine tasting on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at Edmund's Oast Exchange from 1-3 p.m. 

40 Mile Detour performs Americana music at Home Team BBQ at 7 p.m.

Thanksgiving weekend kicks off at Red's Ice House with an oyster roast, beer deals, and live music from Melted Velvet.

Felix celebrates a year in the biz with complimentary glasses of champagne and an amuse bouche, starting at 6 p.m.

Head to Madra Rua for Best for Business Live! an interview podcast with Patch Whiskey and Dan 'The Man' Anderson.

Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving, folks.

(Black) Friday

It's time to shop 'til you drop, y'all. You can head to the Wild Dunes Holiday Market from 12-3 p.m. and Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre starting at 9 a.m. (where you can enter to wine a $1,000 gift card). There's also a market on Friday and Saturday at Middleton Place from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

If you want to see Santa, you can catch him at the Freshfields Village starting at 10 a.m.

Spend Black Friday at Monster Music where you can enjoy a bunch of sidewalk sales.

Saturday

There are few better ways to #BuyLocal (or at least think about it) than by perusing local goods at local farmers market, like the one in Marion Square, at Pacific Box & Crate, and on Johns Island.

The Ashborough Holiday Market features over 50 vendors, booze pops, pony rides, and more from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Fam's Brewing hosts a local market from 1-5 p.m.

Head to Graft Wine Shop for a killer event with local female DJs.

The Buzzed Spelling Bee at Tin Roof is probably going to be as fun as it sounds. So get there starting at 8 p.m.

Sunday

Swing dance your holiday weekend worries away at Prohibition at 6:30 p.m.

Freshfields Village's holiday festival takes place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

The Sunday Brunch Farmers Market is a great place to sip a mimosa, enjoy live music, and shop local goods from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
