Re: “The Grocery

Wow, wow, wow! I was initially intimidated by the set up of the Grocery's menu, but a friend had been raving about it, so we broke down and went for restaurant week. So glad we did! After reviewing the menu options, we opted to order off the regular menu. The clam appetizer with merguez sausage is an excellent combination of flavors. The bacon wrapped duck breast combined two of my favorite things flawlessly, without seeming fatty. My only complaint is that there wasn't more butternut squash! For dessert, the Banana Pudding Parfait was a perfectly elevated rendition of a southern classic. The Churros, which the server mentioned was the signature dessert, were awesome, and big enough to share. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was impeccable. We will definitely be back!

Re: “A desperate message from Puerto Rico and how you can help those affected by Hurricane Maria

It has been almost one week. Since then, The mayor of New York City, the governor of New York, and a senator from Florida have all pledged their support for Puerto Rico. First responders from New York City ate all ready on the ground. Where is South Carolina's support? Cities all over the United States have set up donation centers. Where are the ones in Charleston?

Re: “A desperate message from Puerto Rico and how you can help those affected by Hurricane Maria

I noticed this is one of the most viewed, yet it didn't even get prime placement on your homepage. Charleston is celebrating it's 28th anniversary of surviving Hugo. Puerto Rico was just hit by not one, but two major storms, back to back. How would Charleston be doing if everyone ignored it after Hugo? It would likely not be the #1 or 2 city in the world. If anyone should be doing something, it's a city that understands what they are going through. We should be doing more. This is NOT enough.

Re: “Sweet 185 hosts grand re-opening on Upper King

$90 for eyebrows and full bikini!? Screw you Sweet 185. I miss Danielle, at least she used to discount. Don't you people know we're still in a recession?! Its not just college students that need a discount, some of us don't still have mommy and daddy paying for our bikini waxes. Get over your pretentious selves and go buy a bag of sugar at's quite cheap there. In the meantime, stop ripping off your clients!

Re: “Raval is now Closed for Business

I think "justavisitor" works for Rev foods... or at least he got paid good money to say their food is "way above average"!

You couldn't PAY me enough to say that!

Re: “Sesame coming to Citadel Mall

THANK GOD! Finally a gourmet place in this part of town. SO tired of having to go downtown, Park cir, or Mt. P every time I want good food!
