The fourth Double Vision lecture will feature Nathan Durfee and Dr. P. Chris Fragile.Nathan Durfee's lecture is entitled "Narwhals, Carrot Top, and Other Relevant Artistic Thoughts" and will discuss reasons behind his personal style and creative thought process when painting. Dr. P. Chris Fragile's lecture is called "Black-Hole Accretion Disks: Laboratories for Studying General Relativity." It will have four principle goals: convince the audience that black holes really exist in our Universe, discuss some of the phenomena that make them so interesting, explain accretion disks and why they are so important to understanding black holes, and review some of the research students and Dr. Chris Fragile have been doing on black-hole accretion disks at the College of Charleston.
