FollyGras is back for its ninth year, celebrating the New Orleans tradition (Mardi Gras for all y’all not catching on yet). Bring your beads, because this Center Street party is the closest many of us will get to Bourbon Street this year, with dozens of food and art vendors and lots of live music like Gaslight Street, Soul Fish, Shakin’ Martinis, Jordan Igoe, Ashes of Old Ways, and the Nick Clyburn Band. Center Street restaurants like Rita’s, Loggerhead’s, Snapper Jack’s, The Grill and Island Bar, and more, will have food booths set up in front of their locations, and there will be multiple ID checks so you can booze in the streets, just like you’ve always dreamed. The parade starts at noon, and the party follows immediately after.
