Front porch concerts

Get down to some great music at Folly Beach Front Porch Fest this Saturday with the third annual Folly Beach Porch Fest. The idea behind Porch Fest is simple yet brilliant: have local musicians play awesome music right on people’s front porches, in this case the neighborhoods of Folly Beach. Folly Beach Front Door Fest was originally founded by local singer-songwriter Eddy Boston who says that, “Porch Fest is a great family-friendly, non-commercial event. It really brings the community together: musicians, residents, and anyone who loves music.” Boston now manages Porch Fest along with local musician Teresa Parrish, with both also performing along with more than a dozen other musicians and bands including: The Chillbillies, Fleming Moore, The Swamp Gypsies and much more. All the residences where performances are taking place are within three blocks of Center St., with most performances taking place W. Ashley, Huron, Hudson, Arctic, and E. Cooper streets.
