Re: “Official trailer for Bravo's Southern Charm debuts, confirms everything we already knew

I don't understand - is there something inherently wrong with being a white male? I get the bit about entitlement, but not the former...?

Love the show! Bravo is full of trash tv - it's entertaining. ;)

Re: “Who is Southern Charm's Whitney Sudler-Smith?

Goodness! I guess it's much easier to hate and judge people than to give them grace. I'm certainly guilty of it. Whitney and his mother seem like fine people to me. If you take a close look at anyone, even yourself, you'll find plenty of flaws. However, as ridiculous and ostentatious as the show Southern Charm initially appears, and the sins of everyone are certainly highlighted, it only reveals that we are all just human with both good and bad in us. Whitney and his mom appear to be very understanding and tender towards Thomas and I think towards each other as well. And at least they appear to have interests outside of social climbing and pretending to be something they are not. If you're going to find fault with the people on the show, I would think Whitney would be one of the last ones picked character-wise. The way Craig spoke to his boss was pretty entertaining (mostly just arrogant and foolish) and poor JD needs to tone down the lifestyle if he can't afford it. There is nothing more nerve wracking than living outside your means - entitlement can lead you down a destructive and heartbreaking path. But even they have their redeeming qualities. Haven't seen Ultrasuede, but would like to now - thank you lynnar!
