Re: “Mozzo

I've been there for breakfast just about monthly since they opened, and I love, love, love their bagel sandwiches and breakfast burritos. The portions are large, and they don't skimp on the more expensive parts of the recipe (lox, et cetera).

My only knock on them is that the ordering/service flow isn't logical and sometimes that means a while before your order is taken. But it is never really a "problem."

Overall: big fan.

Re: “Catherine Templeton's shtick is disappointingly unoriginal

Mo'Nique's performance in "The Original Queens of Comedy" is a home run derby. She is funny as hell. She's also an Oscar-winning actress. Is she as bankable as Schumer? Raw-numbers wise, probably not. Is she 4% as bankable as Schumer, though? Please.

Re: “Citadel president denounces "abhorrent racist statements" posted on social media

I think the quotes around "racist statment" were to highlight that the Citadel was, itself calling them racist rather than a characterization by the paper.

As for the offending material, allow me to paraphrase the show Archer:
"[Sorry] to sound racist but..." grunts the cadet.
"Power through it," interjects Archer.

Re: “Saturday's Women's March Rally for Electoral Justice focused on intersectionality, women in office

You hear that, Ladies? Your stupid march was stupid because you haven't solved every problem that nay-saying men assume you don't care about based on figures removed from their own asses. God knows you don't take care of your kids, obviously because you have time on a Saturday to do something plus let's not forget all that sign-preparation time. Tut, tut! It is obvious to any casual observer that none of you care about the state of public education, I mean if you go by the gut feelings of people who don't know anything about you that is.

So in conclusion: how dare you! Or: how dare you? Until you can solve any problem, don't bother addressing any of them!

Re: “Templeton jumps on bandwagon to whitewash MLK

We learn something new every day from the pages of revisionist history books. The Dixiecrats aren't a thing, the Southern Strategy is a liberal myth, and the party that currently cheers the gutting of the Voting Rights Act, bases its entire strategy on disenfranchising minority voters, and cannot even bring itself to disavow white supremacists (yes I'm talking about the GOP) is the party of equal rights, civil rights, and definitely the one that MLK would identify directly with. Just him and Strom Thurmond, like peas in a pod.

Re: “Trump administration has been an exercise in schadenfreude

Thank you for the waltz down to 2017 Memory Lane, Crazytown, USA.

One point arises, however: schadenfreude is deriving joy from the hapless failure of others. While the President does enjoy historically low approval ratings, he doesn't seem to be suffering too much other than high cholesterol, blood pressure, weight, and major sleep problems. So is your joy at the suffering of the country, or perhaps just at "libtards" like Ron and me, perhaps the career civil servants at the FBI and Department of State?
