Re: “Tropical Sushi

Can't wait to return for the sushi lunch buffet! Had sushi and sake here on Friday and it was delicious! Tried 6 different rolls and they were all great. Fish was fresh. Service was also very good. Definitely recommend this place.

Re: “Charleston needs an all-ages, mid-cap venue that caters to all genres

WTH? The Charleston Pour House is a 400 to 500 person venue that hosts hip-hop, punk rock, EDM, indie, Americana, country and so much more. The only genre I can think of that doesn't happen there is death metal. It's one of the best venues in the country (and has been voted so). Yes, there are cover bands sometimes, but it's also a venue that has fostered many of Charleston's finest. Shovels and Rope used to play in the Cuban restaurant that was part of the venue 8? years ago. It's 7 minutes from downtown. There's free music nightly on the smaller of the two stages. What more can you ask for?

Re: “James Island sports a restaurant scene as quirky as its residents

I do love a good burger, but I go to The Lot for that. I also love a great steak. I go to The Lot for that. Seafood, same thing. Great wine, The Lot. It's my favorite restaurant on the island, hands down. Sure, I'm biased, but I do love The Lot and everything Chef Andy churns out. Plus, knowing the farmers that provide the food means a lot to me. I do look forward to trying Sermet's JI though, and Roadside Seafood is good when you want the fried seafood fix. I just wish they didn't use styrofoam for their takeout dishes.

Re: “Our short guide to 'za in the Holy City

Missing on this list is JI PIzza. Our favorite handsdown. Try the Islander with Love and tell me you don't agree.
