The story about the Junior High School in Dillon is just so much bulshit, and papers perpetuated the story without checking it out. The 'school' depicted in all the stories was once a school but is now used for storage. The actual school is an almost new brick building that was rebuilt after a major fire not too many years ago. The auditorium's roof is caving in and I, personally, offered to repair it a few years ago and was told it wasn't used so why repair it. The rest of the building was in excellent shape at that time. JV Martin Jr High School is NOT the old wooden storage building shown on TY and pictured in newsapers!
