Re: “How integration led to the decline of black-owned businesses

I think that the Blacks are accepted in society just like anyone, but the thing that hurts them the most is that they keep bringing up topics to show how they aren't accepted - thereby drawing attention to it and making it bigger than it is. I bet if they just left everything alone they wouldn't have as much a problem. Some blacks seem to think they are owed something from society, and as long as they think this they will feel cheated. It's a competitive world out there and I don't think it does anyone any damn good to hang onto the past. HANGING ONTO THE PAST IS WHAT IS HOLDING YOU BACK! Just rise above it! Let it go! Sure there are a few white people out there who are prejudice, but there are just as many prejudice black out there as well. Read 'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle.

Re: “Folly Beach Residents Report Police Harassment

Every one should know that cops set traps to arrest people. Everyone needs to see this video to learn about your rights and to avoid these traps. They learn this stuff in their academies. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3845190963595588144&q=police&total=79605&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=3

Re: “Downtown Racial Experience

It's amazing how limiting beliefs can skew a person's life. This man walks around all day looking for validation that he was born into a cruel world. Things are as you make them, friend. If you give off a genuine "friendly and peaceful" vibe, people will respond positively. If you give off a "these people already don't like me, but I'll smile anyways" vibe, you will get confused responses in return. I wish you the best of luck, buddy.

Re: “FEATURE ‌ Motorcycle Apartheid?

"motorcyclists' contribution to alleviating traffic and parking congestion and their low fuel consumption" Yeah right. A motorcycle takes as much space as a normal car in traffic. Normally, downtown you see a clan of motorcycles. Perhaps 4 motorcycles and 4 or 5 people riding them. 4 motorcycles is hardly more efficient than the two cars it would take to transport them. Even what little it may make up for in fuel efficiency it loses to horrendous noise pollution and liability for the rider's life.
