Re: “The time has come for the United States to leave the Middle East

If you need, for your greatest fulfillment and happiness, to live in a house and someone is trying, and even having some success, to destroy your house you don't give up living in an house, you don't move away, because those trying to destroy your house actually need to know what it's like, and they actually want to live in a house too.

You stick with it and in the most determined of ways you show the world what it looks like and the benefits of living in a house. This may challenge some who want to behave rudely in their pursuits to assuage their inner confusion; money, happiness, control, etc. But there is a simple response - live in a house, a real house, with a solid foundation, a good roof, insulation, windows that open and close, and a front door that locks and unlocks. Be that which you and they want to be.

Otherwise we're all the animals that people think they are.

Need clarification?

Reagan's interpretation of pulling US troops as a sign of weakness to the Sinkers in the Middle East is shown to be true and fortifying to those Sinkers to this day, almost 30 years later. What would it look like if we had entered with overwhelming force and completed the mission?

The US intervention in Libya can't really be called, "heavy." Obviously, the ambassador was living in a veritable pup tent compared to the Green Zone in Baghdad. Was the recent Libyan revolution mishandle? You bet. But that's what Obama wanted, confusion and not a true Democratic success.

Anywhere we exit the forces of oppression enter. We cannot afford, either financially or morally to abandon the world to those forces.

It is a fallacy that US policy has only produced ruinous results and so that is all we can produce is destructive to the US.

The US and the Free World have not declare WAR on the enemy of freedom. Afghanistan and Iraq were focused on symptoms not causes. Saddam Hussein was a symptom. The Taliban was a symptom. These symptoms persist throughout the Middle East and around the world. Removing the positive influence of the US from the Middle East would be a massive failure. The Middle East will not teach itself anything in the absence of the a free and loving influence. The region is being held hostage by the Sinker mentality.

If we leave the Middle East to the tyrants there will be a larger and bloodier conflict in the future. The end result of that will be horrific destruction on the scale of a world war. We ought to engage the enemy of freedom on the first day and not the last, but we should do it with overwhelming force and an unwavering determination to strike fear in the hearts of those who seek domination of others. We are not an empirical nation as the Sinkers like to suggest. America is a noble and benevolent country when we act upon our principles and not the desires of a few men. The population of our great country must take responsibility for the actions of this country because we will be held accountable regardless of whose goals are being served by our actions.
