Dash for a diamond

The winner of Polly's Diamond Dash gets a $15,000 ring

Diamonds. We may not want to admit it, but we all want 'em. In fact, Kanye West loves diamonds so much that he now has diamond teeth.

But alas, diamonds are expensive, and we all can't be ballers like Kanye. But on Sunday, you'll get the chance to win a free diamond — as long as you can find it.

Polly's Diamond Dash, sponsored by Polly's Fine Jewelry, will give participants the chance to scavenger hunt for a $15,000 Tacori diamond ring that will be hidden in downtown Charleston. (An important note: The ring we have pictured here is not the ring you'll be looking for.) Kick-off and registration starts in Marion Square (where there will also be an after-party once the rock is found).

Pairs aged 18 or older can participate, and locations and challenges will be sent to your cell phone. You can travel by any means but automobile.

So if it seems like downtown Charleston is having its own version of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World on Sunday, you should follow suit.
