Re: “Diary of an A-Lister

PAJD, kinda like you're presuming anyone cares about your comments on this article? Twitter is optional, you can follow and unfollow whomever you choose.

Re: “Diary of an A-Lister

Chris, I know its fun to play make fun of the politician, but I see real value in using Twitter as an elected official. First, I see Twitter as listening tool. I "follow" lots a people from across SC and the country and listen to what they have to say about a range of issues. Its a great way for me to communicate in real time with people I otherwise would not be able to have conversations with. Second, Twitter is a way to provide some insight and transparency into state government and my life a as legislator. Yes, I talk about my personal life as well as professional life, but it allows my readers to see the whole picture of where I am coming from as a husband, father, businessman and legislator. No, I'm not an A-Lister, not even a B-Lister, but I hope being a more open and transparent legislator gives people some confidence in the future of our government.
