CSO Holiday Celebration Concert

When: Sat., Dec. 18, 7 p.m. 2010
Price: $10-$45
We all know the old idiom “The show must go on,” and the same can be said about the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Despite all of this year’s drama, the CSO Chorus’ annual holiday concert will still go on, and they’ll be joined by musicians from the CSO, as well as the Charleston Children’s Chorus and soloists from the College of Charleston. David Templeton will perform “Fantasia on Christmas Carols” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, while Kori Miller and Nathan Matticks, students at CofC, will be the soloists on “O Holy Night.” You can expect to hear “Carol of the Bells,” “Suite from Polar Express,” “The Christmas Waltz,” “Musicological Journey of the Twelve Days of Christmas,” and “Grinch Medley.” The night will also feature “Hallelujah Chorus” as a tribute to Maestro David Stahl. And Santa Claus himself might show up too. —Susan Cohen
