Pump up the volume

You may want to bring some earplugs for this one. The Charleston Music Hall is setting the volume at full blast with their screening of It Might Get Loud. This film, produced by Thomas Tull, brings three generations of rock into the same space: Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, U2’s The Edge, and Jack White of The White Stripes. The film follows the trio as they travel back to the places that bore their greatest works, from Headley Grange’s cold stone halls to an eerie farm dwelling in Tennessee. Watch as Jack White writes new music and each musician demonstrates their unique individual style. It Might Get Loud promises an intimate look into the nature and growth of rock celebrities, set to the throbbing pulse of their electric guitars. Charles Carmody, Director of The Charleston Music Hall says, “We chose It Might Get Loud because it is a fascinating documentary that revolves around three of the most influential guitarists in the last 50 years. To see these three guitarists, all with very distinct styles, interact is pretty amazing.” The CMH bar will open at 7 p.m., one hour before the film starts.
