Finding both classical music and circus performers in the same venue can be difficult. Luckily, Cirque de la Symphonie is righting that wrong with its performance at the Gaillard Center. Featuring acrobats, jugglers, dancers, and more circus-inspired performers, Cirque de la Symphonie choreographs stunts with well-known classical compositions, including works by Tchaikovsky and Dvorak. “These talented artists are veterans of some amazing cirques from around the world including Cirque du Soleil,” says Concertmaster and Principal Pops Conductor, Yuriy Bekker. Tickets for the main performance range from $12.50-$98, but a special abridged family show will be at 2 p.m. the same day. “We hope that presenting music in such a fun setting will inspire children to become interested in music, if not performing, then at least listening,” says Bekker. Tickets for the family show will range from $12.50 to $25.
