Re: “Local filmmakers caught in the middle of film-fest squabble

Why do you think people that say they have been to The Terrace are lying? Just because they are angry with your behavior and are choosing not to return? Sorry I don't save my ticket stubs as proof, but I have been at least a dozen times and I've purchased buckets of beer & loads of candy (thanks for the free bucket & key chain a few months back) and I've been in that quirky theater that you get to by walking through another theater. Is that enough proof that I've been or shall I scour my bank stubs as proof I've used my debit card there in the past? I am so incredibly disappointed in you and it really does make me sad to think I won't put another dime into your business. It was great to think that you would open your doors to charity at the drop of a hat, but to now hear that you did it all for the profit and to hear you basically trash talk the charity angle is sickening. It was great exposure that brought money in the door in one way or the other and now you blatently admit that you did it for the money and not the cause.

Re: “Local filmmakers caught in the middle of film-fest squabble

This is directed to the Charleston Film Fest peeps. I'm not trying to fight with you, but I have an honest question. You admit you had a falling out with CIFF. Okay, that sucks, I get it and it sucks if they really did break a contract with you; however, did you really need to go start your own festival with a nearly identical name just weeks prior to CIFF to prove some sort of point? It just makes you look like a bunch of jerks. Maybe you don't care since you've sold The Terrace and won't have to deal with the repercussions, but I used to LOVE The Terrace and now I don't. Doubt I'll ever go back. I'm extremely disappointed and disheartened that you felt the need to turn this into such a spectacle. Why are you being such a bully?
