Re: “Rally for Charleston Birth Place today at 4:30

Thanks for the article guys! This is an important story to lots of ppl, & those who don't care, probably should. Whether you are against water birth or not, this situation could potentially end in an infringement of human rights; the right to choose (where/how you give birth). For centuries women had their babies at home, only in the last 85 yrs or so have hospitals become common place; birth centers offer an affordable compromise b/t the two. You get the personal, intimate comfort of a home like environment w/medical professionals (in CBP's case, a block away from a hospital in case of an emergency), w/o the risk of actually being at home, foregoing the headache/stress a hospital environment can induce.
Being that I'm one of MANY due to deliver at a birth center in the next few months (btw, have delivered 2x before in hospitals), this story effects me & my family greatly. I do not wish to see my right, my friends & families rights, & the rights of thousands of ppl across the state violated bc of a new interpretation of a 20 yr old law to save a gov't agency's tail from possible hot water.
Thank you so much for covering this story, I hope to see read about developing details as they develop.
