Chef Louis Osteen moves to Nasvhille 

We'd heard rumblings that Louis Osteen had a new gig. The Tennesseean is reporting today that the venerable Osteen — formerly of Louis's Charleston Grill here in town and Louis's Fish Camp at Pawley's Island — has moved to Nashville to work for Hospitality Development Group, which includes Watermark Restaurant, Miro District Food & Drink, and The Blind Pig No. 55.

The James Beard Award winner will be in charge of overseeing the three restaurants and keeping them "consistent, yet unique." He moves to Nashville from north Georgia, where he was ensconced at the Lake Rabun Hotel and Restaurant since last June. Before that, he had taken a high profile gamble on Las Vegas, opening a big version of Louis's Fish Camp in a sprawling new shopping center. It's opening coincided with a downturn in the real estate market, and he ended up closing the restaurants and moving back to the East Coast, where he has a vast and devoted network of friends and fans.
