Re: “Clyburn hitting airwaves this week

U.S. House District 6: (D) Rep. Jim Clyburn directs millions of federal dollars to the 6th district in South Carolina, and as Majority Whip he’s got the power and influence to ensure we don’t get left behind. To create jobs, he wants to expand tourism, South Carolina’s No. 1 industry; cut the payroll tax for employers..., so the private sector will hire more workers; and build a clean energy economy in the state to create industry that can be outsourced.
The U.S. Constitution set up the government to be a place where no one side could dominate. Compromises have to be made, and, with an all-or-nothing attitude like
(R)-Pratt’s, South Carolina will end up on the losing end of that deal.
Some may not like Clyburn, but he comes home and almost always brings the federal dollars with him. As such a small state with only six representatives out of 435, South Carolina can’t afford to lose someone with that kind of influence.
