Charleston Trees Oyster Roast

When: Sun., Jan. 29, 1-4 p.m. 2017
Price: $45

Toast and roast

Join local Park Angels at Lowndes Grove for a Sunday afternoon of good food in support of a good cause. Charleston Trees, a committee of the Charleston Parks Conservancy, hosts its annual oyster roast fundraising event. The benefit is an all-you-can-eat steamed oyster and chili cookout with live music and both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Charleston Trees is a local volunteer community with the goal of planting trees in the City of Charleston’s public spaces. The committee promotes a greener community and sustainable beatification, recognizing trees as a key aspect of city-living and beneficial to the community’s physical and emotional health. Proceeds from the Oyster Roast support tree-planting initiatives in Charleston.
