Chow down on this

the impossibly perfect dishes on cooking shows, unable to bring the same meal to fruition in our own kitchens. At the Food Film Festival, finally, you can taste exactly what you see on screen. It’s a festival for the senses,” says festival publicist Rosie Boyce. The first event will be CNN’s World Premiere of Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown — Charleston at 7 p.m. on Wed. Nov. 11. Tickets for this event include a hog roast after party prepared by Rodney Scott of Scott’s Barbeque with a special tasting menu from Waffle House. The second day of the festival features five films on everything from the craft beer scene in Charleston to pig farming in Italy. The final day of the festival presents the Food Porn Party which screens ten different films such as Fork and Beans: Gluten Free Moon Pie, Choco Thriller, and The Spalding Oyster. Food will be provided by The Lot, Vanilla Bean, Warehouse, and Mirabelle Bakery. George Motz, founder and producer of the festival, says, “Charleston is a town of remarkable food and great food culture. What we do at the Food Film Festival is very intense and immersive. Charleston gets that.”
