When: Thu., Sept. 16, 5-8 p.m. 2010!/event.php?eid=112932028757758
The female business owners of downtown’s Cannonborough neighborhood will act as guides through their ’hood and their shops on Thursday during A Tour of the Senses. The event marks the opening of the locale’s latest venture, Audella Studios, a gallery showroom for Add Libb Designs Handbags and Rua Framing and Design. Wildflour Pastry, Mac & Murphy, Stems, Nicole’s Nutty Goodness, Gilly Lynn (necklaces by Amanda Gill), Love Me Again, Wallfly Design, and Zola Jewelry will partake in a tour that allows guests to experience Cannonborough through taste and sight through the the food, the design, and the overall beauty of the area. Leah Suárez and her friends in the Jazz Artists of Charleston will supply the auditory pleasures. Throughout the occasion, guests can receive discounts on all the custom designed Add Libb handbags, including the fall 2010 line, and frames by Rua, and they’ll have the chance to win door prizes from the other contributing merchants. All proceeds from the door prize sales will go to the Center for Women. —Dustin J. Pitts
