BY THE NUMBERS ‌ Give a Little Bit 

Last year was good for the nation’s top charities, according to an annual survey released late last month by The Chronicle of Philanthropy. The survey found that donations to the top 400 charities in the country grew by 13 percent in 2005, the highest percentage gain since the chronicle began the survey 16 years ago. The increase was attributed to new fundraising methods and donations for victims of Katrina and the 2004 tsunamis. Below is a list of causes and the support they garnered.
