I think the point Jeff is trying to make is not so much about authenticity as much as it is about whether there is soul in the food. The bottom line is that it is a new place that needs time to work out the kinks I'm sure, but the word on the street is the drink is good and the food is average. I've always liked Jason as a chef, but I know firsthand the boyz in the kitchen had to be shown how to properly cook the tortillas for the enchiladas so that they wouldn't crumble when rolling them. That is where the soul comes in the cooking you find in the joints Jeff refers to in North Chuck.
