Re: “Can Elise Testone emerge from American Idol with grace?

I can sort of see how you like Randy most.. I felt the same way, but lately even Randy is becoming sort of a downer since Simon left. He's gotten to were he plays a bit of politics and tries to push his favorites and leave out the others. And no, I don't always think he's 100% correct in his choices. Like this year, he'd always do this little game where he make a comment about the contestants, and then go "... and Jessica, Joshua, Elise, Phillip" and always leave off Hollie on purpose. I could have understood it more if let's say Phillip was a great vocalist and Hollie was this out of tune, lazy loser. But Hollie is OBVIOUSLY to most people the best or 2nd best, and no worse than 3rd best vocalist on the show.

Phillip strains to reach notes, sounds weak, and covers those notes up with growls and faces. He's often out of tune. So when he'd always hold Phillip in higher regard than Hollie it really annoyed me. I do get that Philip WILL win because of the little girls discovering their hormones are padding the vote, but I figure at least treat her with respect while she's there. And by the way, I predicted the winner of American Idol 2011, Scotty, before the top 12 began. I knew he was the winner because he was a GUY, the right age for teen girls to get a crush on, and was country. What a stupid reason to win a competition. He's good, but not the best that year. This year, my prediction is Phil Phillips for the SAME reason. The winner is no longer chosen by who sings best. It's chosen by who's male and cute.
