Re: “Charleston voters back Tinkler, incumbents, and half-cent tax referendum

It has been a distinct honor to be the Working Families and Democratic Nominee for South Carolina State House of Representatives District 114.

I am very proud of the 7,487 votes I received, which is the highest number of votes for a candidate not running as a Republican in the 114th district in over 20 years. I consider each one of those votes as an obligation for me to continue to speak out for millions of hard-working people that are not being listened to by the establishment in Columbia. My campaign for SC House 114 is over, but my fight for working families will never end

I offer heartfelt thanks to everyone that has given me support in this campaign, any success I had would have been impossible without you.

Re: “Convicted felon Thomas Ravenel endorses Donald Trump

It is not his conviction that prevents him from voting, he must still be on probation if he can't vote. In SC once the sentence for a crime is completed voting rights are restored. Please correct this article.

Re: “State legislator looks to bring anti-transgender law to SC

Hopefully this bill will never even make it to the House, but I would stand against any bill like this that attempts to enshrine bigotry and ignorance into law. Sadly the other candidate for SC House 114 has expressed support for this act.

Re: “Meet the candidates for this November’s elections

I am looking forward to a spirited campaign for the State House district 114.

The people of the 114th District scored a powerful victory when we took this office away from the control of the establishment in Columbia, and we must ensure it stays in our hands.

I pledge to fight against the special interests that dominate the halls of the statehouse today. The people of South Carolina are tired of their elected officials taking marching orders from out-of-state think tanks that demand we spoil our natural resources, sell out our children's education, and exploit our dedicated workers.

Enough is enough. We have to STAND UP!
STAND UP for equal justice under law!
STAND UP for our environment!
STAND UP for better bridges and roads!
STAND UP for public education!
STAND UP for workers rights and a living wage for ALL South Carolinians!
I need you to stand with me in this fight. Go to and STAND UP for hope!
Please show your support for our campaign today!
