Blueberry Jam

When: Sun., Feb. 26 2012
Price: Free
Last summer, Blue Pearl Farms owners Robert and Cheri Ward kicked of the monthly Blueberry Jam series at their McClellanville farm. It has since grown into full-scale festivals with throngs of attendees. “We invited some local singer-songwriters to provide entertainment for the first few jams,” Robert says. “Things went so well, we decided to regularly get together on the third Sunday of every month. It’s really become a big thing with a lot of support from some great musicians and music fans.” This month’s concert is set for Sun. Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. with performances by bluesy combo the Hardy-Wiener Band (led by guitarist Steve Hardy and singer/harmonica player Andy “Smoky” Weiner) and roots-rock band Gaslight Street (frontman Campbell Brown is pictured), who’ve been busy recording and tinkering with their lineup. Food and drinks will be available at the farm’s Back Stage Cafe. Blue Pearl Farms is located at 9760 Randall Road, just north of the town’s Old Village, on the edge of the Francis Marion National Forest.
