Anyone who knows jazz knows that Blue Note records is arguably one of the most iconic record labels in the game. The likes of John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, and Horace Silver have all recorded for Blue Note, and now the company brings some of these legends back to life. The Charleston Jazz Orchestra, along with guest star T.S. Monk, will perform selections from some of Blue Note's beloved songs. T.S. Monk is the son of Blue Note musician Thelonious Monk, best known for such contributions as "Straight, No Chaser," and "Round Midnight," and clocks in as the second-most recorded jazz artist after Duke Ellington. T.S. Monk has dedicated much of his musical career to honoring his father's legacy, and will also recount some of his favorite experiences growing up around the jazz legends of Blue Note.
