Blotter

Highlights from City of Charleston police reports

Blotter O' The Week:

Officers arrested a downtown man for attempting to shoplift a box of Band-Aids. Dude, Nelly doesn't even wear that stuff anymore.

A witness reporting a hit and run said the suspect was "frat looking."

Excuse O' The Week: A man caught with a bag of crack told officers he was "trying to make a little money for the holidays."

A man arrested for stealing three bottles of lotion from a downtown grocery store said he did it because he was addicted to drugs. One aisle over, buddy.

A woman reported that her $600 Manolo Blahniks had been stolen, along with the usual suspects of electronic equipment and jewelry. Unless those shoes had the price tag on them, we're guessing the perp was Carrie Bradshaw.

Quote O' The Week: "I did that?" Charged with DUI and hit and run, a man had to be reminded five times during processing that he had been in an accident.

Items Stolen This Week: Four iPods, three GPS units, and one bike.

The Blotter is taken from City of Charleston police department reports. We've added a cartoon and a little commentary. We've added a little humor, too. No one has been found guilty. This is not a court of law.
