The Blotter is taken from City of Charleston police department reports. We’ve added a cartoon and a little commentary. We’ve added a little humor, too. No one has been found guilty. This is not a court of law.

Blotter Threat O' The Week: "You'll be sorry. I know what your car looks like."

A man was walking on Benson Street on Sept. 26 when 10-12 young men approached him. They punched him several times, knocked him to the ground, and kicked him until he bled from the nose.

On Sept. 28, a woman was talking on a cell phone outside of a popular downtown sushi spot when a man she knew ran up to her, kicked her violently, and then ran away. She couldn't provide a reason for why the man would kick her, and mentioned that he's a regular at the restaurant.

The manager of a downtown parking garage called the cops on Sept. 24 to report that he had observed two of his employees taking money from the business. He checked out surveillance tapes that showed two women taking money from customers and then entering a validation code to let them exit the garage.
