Blotter: The week in crime

Highlights from the City of Charleston police reports

BLOTTER O' THE WEEK: A woman contacted police about a man trying to take pictures up her skirt around closing time. She decided not to press charges when she saw the pictures turned out to be blurred. It's nice when people give a break to amateur photographers.

Items Stolen This Week: Four iPods, four GPS units, two bikes, and a laptop.

Text Threat O' The Week: "U mite as well call the police now 2day is the day and I don't care nothing bout going 2-jail."

Weapon O' The Week: A thrown bike

Two men making a scene outside of a King Street bar were ticketed and told to go home, but they refused — even after four officers reportedly "almost pleaded with the offenders to leave the area." We're all for supporting downtown businesses, but listen to the po po.

A driver filling up at a gas station told police that a woman pulled a knife from her car and pointed it at the victim, stating, "I am about to cut this bitch before I get my hair did!" The woman then got in her car and left.

Non-Confession O' The Week: "Even if I took it, I wouldn't have it anymore."

The Blotter is taken from City of Charleston police department reports. We've added a cartoon and a little commentary. We've added a little humor, too. No one has been found guilty. This is not a court of law.
