Re: “Head-scratcher o’ the day: Tim Scott opposes Obamacare because people are uninsured

@ John Paul "Small business owners, craftspeople, artists, artisans, musicians, contractors, and all manner of self employed individuals will select the opt - out provision". I'm self employed and I couldn't wait to sign up. AND I've used my plan already and it's GREAT coverage! Those people you mention that will opt out, well, they're stupid I guess. Not sure why anyone would do that. My insurance company is a non-profit co-op, Consumer's Choice. This plan has saved me hundreds of dollars just in the first three months of having it.

Re: “Mt. Pleasant school adopts program from organization that thinks family values groups are bigots

Mr. Crabtree flat out lied in this piece. He states that "the Family Research Council, which the SPLC calls a hate group simply because the faith-based group believes in traditional marriage. The same goes for Focus on the Family, another group opposing same-sex marriage."

Check the SPLC website yourself, they cite MANY reasons each group is labeled as a "hate group" by SPLC.

Really, Mr. Crabtree, if you have to lie to make your point and sell your rubbish, maybe you need to re-evaluate yourself and your opinions.

Re: “Bachmann right to attack Perry on HPV vaccine

If this vaccine causes mental retardation, then I submit that Michelle Bachmann must have had this vaccine and suffered the same consequence.

Re: “2010 Election Results and Analysis

Trowfan, why do you go back decades into Obamas work history only to come up with "community organizer". He's done a lot more than that:

Editor of Harvard Law Review
Constitutional Law Professor
State Senator of Illinios
U.S. Senator

Really, all you could think up was "community organizer". If you want to be taken seriously, try to be fair.

Re: “Alvin Greene's Dumb Party

I don't think John Steward realized that SC has open primaries in which Republicans could have crossed over to sandbag the election in favor of DeMinted.

The fact that heavily Republican districts had unusually large numbers of votes for Democrats might be our first clue....a if we need any clues.

I think it's pretty obvious what happened here. End the open (crossover) primaries now, because Republicans can't be trusted on the honor system.
