Re: “Park Circle's Mixson Avenue should be renamed Impassable Alley

The sentiments of 'design' by both Chris and Artrogue are exactly what new generations are trying to distance from in this era. When you speak of 'design' you speak of 'how my car gets through an area' design as opposed to how actual people move through an area whether it's for a car, pedestrian or bicycle. It's also an idea of how can I get to the places I need to be without getting in a car. If you speak of totally avoiding the area with driving your car through, then that is the idea. Thanks for participating or closer to the point, not for participating.

Re: “Park Circle's Mixson Avenue should be renamed Impassable Alley

I can see the issue if Mixson Avenue was a main thoroughfare, but it is far from being that. The only thing on that side of the road is Mixson living developments with zero truck through traffic for any surrounding business. Being as there are about five ways to get around that street, then again moot point on u-turning 18 wheelers which shouldn't be there in the first place.
At one time there was talk on narrowing East Montague from Mixson to the circle. And once again having lived there for some time there is little need for 5 lanes of traffic in that area. I welcome this change if it introduces a more community aspect as opposed to just passing through as fast as possible.

Re: “Police have confiscated 55 bicycles from King Street sidewalks

I should probably post on Facebook and email all the newspapers telling them I have a Notary Public signed letter which states I get $200 and a free ride home each time my bike is confiscated by the city of Charleston.
Warnings and signs would be a good way of educating the public. You can't expect to wield supreme power just 'cause some watery tart threw a Facebook post at you!
