Re: “Now that the cameras are gone, will blacks and whites remain unified?

You cannot eliminate the issues you speak of and to attribute it to a community due to it's location is disingenuous. To say that racism is more prevalent in the south versus NYC is incorrect. If we were all the same color we would still find ways to separate as a group, so that has to be addressed. The way to address this is education. Not telling people to act a particular way or teaching them about the downfalls of such, but actual higher education so people have the tools to deal with complex thought processes. If any particular race were in charge would they perform better at this point? No. We know through social sciences that the actions undertaken by those in power changes once they accept the keys and ideas are developed, envelopes filled. The key is recognizing this fallacy and living in a manner that allows for introspection and not mob rule. I commend Charleston for not following the lead of those who besieged your city hoping to spark an event for the national stage to opine upon. I applaud you not being Baltimore and becoming a tool for those hoping to make you their own fund raiser. Although you may not be perfect, you are certainly better than those in other regions who hoped to paint you as a caricature of a misunderstood society. I commend your class. To the author, you are steering with story. You should rename it "How to get more mileage out this to further my career."

Re: “No dishes over $16 on 492's new menu

So? Portions in most restaurants are too large. But you're only speculating at the expense of others. Great job Captain Positive.
