Re: “FEATURE ‌ Year of the Taxi

In early September I shall be staying with friends on James Island and since they will out during the day at work I welcome this initiative. You in the States rely too much on your cars to get you from one place to another and so public transportation is often non-existent in many areas. For those who do not drive that can be a real handicap. Flexroute goes some way to address this problem. I shall also look forward to seeing London taxis in and around Charleston. My name is Bill Drayton. Some of you may recognize the surname!!

Re: “FEATURE ‌ Dark Days

I shall be in Charleston between 13 and 23 September this year. Please access my website. At the top right-hand side of the homepage, click to find out what is happening. I am looking forward to meeting up with friends and visiting my second home! We all need to 'turn the page' towards healing and reconciliation, not being afraid of the truth and its impact upon us. Charleston has been described as a 'holy city', because of the many churches within its boundaries. Can we believe that there may be a much stronger reason for that description, which may serve as a pointer for other cities and communities? With very best wishes to y'all, Bill Drayton.

Re: “DOCUMENTARY ‌ Amen, Brother!

I am very interested in this project. I have personal reasons. Have a look at my website: - which has the title: From Slavery To Reconciliation. I went up to Liverpool to take part in "Reconciliation Hearings" as a descendant of slave-owners. Please get in touch. I am due to come over to the States next June (2008) for a speaking tour. Best wishes, Bill Drayton.
