Best Sign that Spring is the King

A Half Dozen New Restaurants

Staff Pick

We made the declaration earlier this year that Spring Street is the new King Street, and we stand by that. Just take a look at the business boom that’s happened there in the past year: Artisan Meat Share, Tokyo Crepes, Tapio bubble tea, Cannon Green, Sunrise Bistro all opened. Not to mention new storefronts like Salon Väri, Wine Awesomeness, and The Vegetable Bin arrived. And there’s more coming. Warehouse’s Parlor Deluxe, a soda fountain meets sweet shop is expected to start serving tots and ice cream this spring. Plus, there will be two hotels buttressing either end of the entrance to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial District. Do we have a Little King Street in the works that’s set to usurp his majesty? Maybe we should call it Prince Regent Street.
