Best Place to Send Your Future Gabby Douglas

Charleston Gymnastics Academy

Staff Pick

If there's ever a problem with pursuing a career as a pro athlete, it's that your career is going to be right short — that is if you're even good enough to go pro, which you probably aren't. A baseball player can make it to his 40s if he's lucky, but a basketball player peaks well before that. And don't even get us started on football players. Most of them are said and done by the time they're 28. And then there's gymnastics. These days, the average gymnast peaks in her early teens. So if you see a bit of Gabby Douglas in your little girl, you need to go ahead and get her to the gym where she can learn all about walking the balance beam, tumbling on the mat, and swinging on the uneven bars. And thanks to the Charleston Gymnastics Academy, you can. They not only have classes for elementary school-aged kids, they have 'em for pre-schoolers and toddlers, too.
