Best Local Comic

Jeremy McLellan

Readers Pick

Jeremy McLellan picked up the title for Best Local Comic for the first time last year when he was relatively new to the comedy scene. Since then, McLellan has garnered a following that stretches far beyond the confines of Charleston, due largely to his fearless approach to politics, religion, and disabilities. He’s picked up roughly 40,000 Facebook followers since November alone and, considering he was asked to open for Todd Barry and TJ Miller in Charleston and for Pussy Riot at the International Students For Liberty Conference in Washington D.C., those numbers show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Runner-up: David Lee Nelson
