By now most of us know that Le Farfalle serves up some legit Italian fare (read: fluffiest duck agnolotti ever), but did you know that the Beaufain street osteria can also excel in the Asian-fusion realm? Well, with a little help from a friend. At this year’s Charleston Wine + Food Festival Le Farfalle’s Michael Toscano and NYC pal Dale Talde produced a marathon of inventive dishes, from savory cannolis stuffed with caponata, mozzarella, and cocoa nibs to jerk duck over steamed rice with plum sauce. With this stellar collab under his belt (plus successful pop-ups with 2Nixons and Short Grain), we’re excited to see what Toscano cooks up next. —Mary Scott Hardaway
