Re: “Haley Chief Pearson dodges question about Will Folks' texts

Gary555 kinda hit it on the head. Saying something is the defining issue doesn't make it so. That was hardly the defining issue. Very little print and airtime was given to that issue.

I hereby announce that Chris and Will are gay lovers and that this will be the defining issue of the next election cycle.

You see... saying it doesn't make it so.

Re: “My Beef: Why is Eliot Spitzer a TV star and Sanford persona non grata?

I'm sorry did someone say that Clinton was never "sanctimonious".

I guess you forgot the wagging finger at America. Telling us to mind our own business.

The problem is that Liberals can be lovable when they are hard line.

Conservatives preach the hard truth. Conservatives aren't doing their job unless close to 50% of the country is mad at them!

Where as liberals are all about feelin' good!

Liberal platform. "If you need it we will give it"
Conservative platform. "If you need it, go get it yourself."

Re: “Terror on Vacation

These guys forgot Force Protection. There is a price on the head of every MRAP vehicle in Iraq. No reason to assume the source wouldn't be a target as well. It is also across the street from the Exchange fair grounds. Time it with a fair and you can cause a lot of problems.

Re: “Under The Sea

I have to give it to the author. This is a well reasoned arguement back up with lost of information that seems convincing. Sadly we don't know if it's true. As someone who believes in climate change at the hands of we humans I have to say there is NO EVIDENCE that points to any apocaliptic version of global warming. There is NO EVIDENCE as to the actual level warming that is ONLY THE RESULT of human activity. There are scientists that are respected in their fields that disagree on many points in this arguement. What strikes me is that the "Tao of Al Gore" croud is just as blind as those that deny. It has become quite a religion for the "Tao" croud. Complete with doctrine and a Mind Guard to protect what they believe. The honest truth is that we don't know. We don't have the science to accurately look beyond 5 days of weather. Everything else is an estimate based on a best guess based on a model based on historical observation. Like I said before. I happen think man does effect the climate. And, as such I believe in strong conservation measures to decrease that impact. But, what I am REALLY for is conservation and alternatives for the sake of energy independence. Now that is a concept I can get behind. It is also a uniting issue so you won't the the body-politic promoting it. We prefer wedge issues in this country. Remember that the next time you get your marching orders from a politican or former politican.
