It’s not too cold to enjoy a day at the beach and some art while you’re at it. Creative Spark Center for the Arts is bringing back their fall fund-raiser on Sullivan’s Island, Art on the Beach, and introducing Chefs in the Kitchen. This year will be better than ever with more to offer than just art and a cool coastal breeze. This time around there will be chef demonstrations and tastings, musical entertainment, and as a reception at Station 22 Restaurant. Of course there will be tons of art to take in during the house tour, which will feature over 30 artists and several homes and artists’ studios. Highlights include poster artist Doug Grier and chefs from the Old Village Post House, Mustard Seed, Cypress, Red Drum Gastropub, and Everyday Gourmet. Those who attend will get to see unique and historic examples of architecture on the island including the Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse. Proceeds benefit the Creative Spark Center for the Arts’ scholarship fund. —Kelly Stroup
