Art and Wine Walk

When: Fri., Feb. 18, 4-7 p.m. 2011
Price: Free
The Art and Wine Walk at Freshfields Village is a chance to treat your mouth to tasty wine and cheese, your ears to live jazz, and your eyes to great art. If that isn’t incentive enough, it’s also free. Eleven stores will have exhibits, live art demonstrations, and special sales. Music will be provided by the Cobblestone Duo to round out a fun, yet relaxing experience. Charleston artist John Duncan will be showing his 3-D home portraits at Aubergine Home Collection, and GDC Home will be hosting artist Gibbs Baum and his ocean-inspired pottery and ceramics. Photographer Charles Measter will be at Java Java, who will also have wine and hors d’ouerves. Papaya Island will be spotlighting photographer Ron Chamberlain and will have a special art walk sale with 30 percent off regular priced items and 50 percent off sale items, plus a free gift with each purchase during the event. Chris Rutigliano’s new work will be on display at Photographics with a chance to meet the man himself. Wine will be provided as well as appetizers by La Tela Pizzeria. The Old Rangoon will be featuring Alice Pruitt, whose work ranges from landscapes and local places of interest to pet portraits and still-lifes. Village Optical will have special promotions, sales, and discounts while hosting visiting artists. Carolina Clay Gallery is having a reception for the artists and you can taste wine at SeaCoast Sports & Outfitters, Coastal Footwear, and Coastal Palms Island Apparel.
