Ancient Harmony — two words that bring thoughts of barefooted Greeks and Romans lingering in peace under the sun’s warmth. Actually, Ancient Harmony is a jolting jam band that is celebrated nationally for its southern roots and crisp rock. Originally from Albany, Ga., this quartet will turn the Pour House into a “symposium of southadelic” funk this Wednesday. Led by guitarist/vocalist Shell Stamps, the sound mixes psychedelic grooves with explosive riffs. The Pour House show kicks off their Halloween Roadshow Family Reunion with Dr. Louis Sullivan and the Evergreen Family Band. Bassist Steve Patton, percussionist Chad Jackson, and keyboardist Tony Giordano combine to create bone-deep melodies with swampy southern soul. Think of Ancient Harmony not as musicians, but as philosophers of sound. Steven Sandier and friends perform bluegrass and folk jams on the deck at 7 p.m. —Mark Glenn
