Re: “Few women have been elected to represent South Carolinians, could Lindsey Graham, of all people, change that?

I wish the left would make up their minds. In the last few years its been nothing but LGBTQ and how you choose your gender identity and how male and female are just social constructs that need to be either abolished or changed significantly. Kaitlyn Jenner was the hero of all heroes. But 2018 has been declared the year of the woman after we've had it beaten into our heads that gender doesn't matter any more or it's such a fluid concept that we need to change our pronouns to match the new zeitgeist. So if I'm understanding this correctly so far, gender doesn't matter, unless it helps push a political agenda, then its a big deal.

Re: “The Agenda: Watchdog says Haley private jet flights were underreported; S.C. Sen. Mia McLeod shares assault story

Consider the source and the fellow travelers: Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington is a left-wing organization that systematically targets Republicans and conservative-leaning groups with often-frivolous lawsuits, ethics complaints, and petitions for investigations by law enforcement agencies. CREW is funded in part by Democracy Alliance which was founded by former Clinton treasury official Rob Stein. Members of the Democracy Alliance include George Soros and his son Jonathan, former Rockefeller Family Fund president Anne Bartley, founders of the Esprit clothing company and friend of Hillary Clinton, Susie Tompkins Buell and Mark Buell, director Rob Reiner, Taco Bell heir Rob McKay as well as New York financiers like Steven Gluckstern. Democracy Alliance also provides funds to Media Matters for America.

Re: “Will Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott come to conscience on Kavanaugh?

To piggyback on your reference to Baldwin; who isolated men from women? Take a close look if you dare. I'll give you a hint; it was not your usual whipping post of evil old white men. It is a sexual free-for-all environment. The sexual revolution declared that the traditional restraints on the male libido norms of male chivalry and gentlemanliness and of female modesty and prudencewere patriarchal and oppressive. Men were told to stop protecting women and putting them on a pedestal. Males and females were assumed to desire easy sex with equal fervor, and demanded to be able to walk away from a one-night stand with equal complacency. With regard to students, adults were expected to remain nonjudgmental and as far out of the picture as possible-because the sexual conduct of their children was no longer any of their business. The results were not pretty: the male libido, free to act as boorishly as it wanted; females getting drunk to reduce their innate sexual inhibitions, unprotected by any default assumptions against casual premarital sex. Whether a 17-year-old Brett Kavanaugh took advantage of this putative sexual liberation, many other teenagers have, and in so doing, merely followed the new script for sexual relations. Feminism has brought this situation upon us, where it was once assumed that when men were asking women the question about sex, the presumption was always 'no' unless the woman says yes, the situation feminism has given us is the answer is 'yes' and its up to women to come up with a good reason for saying no. There's your answer to the isolation. That said, what has happened to innocence presumed until proven guilty? Perhaps its not a matter of 'insecure white men' rallying around one of their own, but a matter of law. Remember the law? Innocent until proven guilty? Would you want to be accused of something so despicable and have all of your means of defending yourself taken away? How does one disprove a negative? Ever tried that? Have you made just as angry calls in regards to Korrey Booker or Keith Ellison? Closer to home, how about Archie Parnell, who in the 70's beat up his wife? Where was the angry outrage for that? Maybe it has nothing to do with with sexual assault at all, maybe it has nothing to do with being white, but has to do with politics and having the big letter "D" next to the candidate's name. Perhaps this outrageous smear of a man who has better credentials than many of the people already on the supreme court has nothing to do with these allegations at all. The fear is that the SCOTUS will once again interpret the Constitution and the Bill of Rights rather than legislate from the bench. Dianne Feinstein had the information about Ms. Ford well before the Senate hearing, she was obligated to share it with the other members of the Judiciary committee, but instead she sat on it waiting to see if any of the other accusations against Kavanaugh stuck, the race card didn't work, the anti-Roe v. Wade card didn't work, so finally she had to go nuclear. The whole game plan is to delay the confirmation until the mid-term elections. As a man of religion, will you pray for the truth to prevail? And even if you see Judge Kavanaugh as your enemy, will you pray for him and his family as as scripture commands us? Will you pray for his family who are being despicably mistreated in the wake of all of this?

Re: “Stephen Colbert perfectly defensive after Trump's reported "dumb Southerner" insult

Bless his heart; I remember his monologue on May 2nd 2017 in which this dear southern gentleman said 'the only thing Trumps mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putins [expletive] holster.

Re: “Stegelin: Graham vs. Graham

Just figuring out that Graham licks his finger and checks which way the political wind is blowing before he speaks? Want him to change his tune and be on your side? Wait.
