Re: “THE USUAL SUSPECTS ‌ All Talk, No Clue

Scarlet, How does GWB or Cheney live like you? Do you own a ranch in Crawford, TX and vacation at Daddy's little resort in Maine? Do you even own more than 4 acres? Did your mother go to Smith College? Do you own a giant corporation like Halliburton that makes hand over fist while you dig deeper and deeper into your pocket at the pumps? The Republicans are much more likely to be less likely you or concerned about you. They hold the bread while you fight for the slice. For example, Al Gore's home in TN was built with enviromentalism in mind. He has applied to put solar panels on it several times and was denied the right to do so by the town zoning board. A farmer in TX is not self sustainable and by raising livestock you keep others indigenous. So before you call people hypocrites, I ask you consider discussing all the facts.

Mr. Graham yet again, gets it all wrong! You know because he is more concerned with baseball than the things he proposes to know anything about. For example, if he knew anything about economics, he'd understand what the Democrats are saying. Unlike other countries, America is price taker. That's right, she bends over gently and accepts whatever corporations tell her. America does this especially for medications where there are rarely labor unions involved and the EU requires nearly the same amount and kind of pre-clinical and clinical trial data as the US and Japan. America lets the pharmaceuticals set the prices by getting drugs at the cost of what pharma says they should be. Where countries like Canada, set the prices, as oppose to taking them. Canada negotiates for better rates, expects more quality in clinical data results and does not market the drugs as soon as they roll off the factory belt. And you know what, Canada has less expensive drugs and yes, less drugs on the market. However, the citizens rank their own healthcare quality higher than Americans and they live longer and have less birth mortality. Trying staying awake in econ next time!
