Truly do not understand the controversy over this. I get that this dude's not legit so that's not cool, but it seems to me like the semantics of his statement are pretty sound. Black lives matter, because all lives matter. What's the difference, and why is the distinction so important? We're all people, black or white or otherwise, and we all deserve the same rights. One nation, unified against oppression all in agreement that we shouldn't see color when it comes to our human rights, so why dwell on something that only serves to divide us based on skin color? In the famous words of MLK quoting the Declaration, "We hold these truths to be self evident: that all men are created equal."
